This workshop is jointly hosted by the USAID West African Trade & Investment Hub and the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, and aimed at covering the AGOA benefits, product eligibility criteria, documentation and export procedures, and US import requirements for agricultural products. 

The webinar will be facilitated by: 

  • Mr. Kara Diallo, AGOA Specialist Trade Hub;

  • Lotfi Kourdali, PPP Director of the Trade Hub; and

  • SalaMartu Stephanie Duncan, Secretary General of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce / CEO of The Marketing Team Africa.


The workshop facilitates part of a broader objective of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), a piece of U.S. Legislation that was approved by the U.S. Congress in May 2000 to increase trade between the U.S. and participating African countries. The law provides duty-free preferences for thousands of products manufactured and processed throughout the region. Liberia signed in 2006.  As a key stakeholder in the trade domain, your participation and opinions are considered to be crucial to the discussions on AGOA.
